Medical is separated into two main categories. Medical Technicians and Physicians. The former are EMTs who rush around the ship collecting the wounded and hauling them back to the medbay. The latter are surgeons and real doctors who can fix those pesky broken bones and organs.
Even so, a range of support roles within the department also exist. Know your job well. It may cost someone their life.

Oversee the infirmary's day to day activities. Coordinate your subordinates and ensure the crew's health. Manage virus outbreaks. Feverishly try to find out who ordered your patient's execution in the operating room. | Very Hard |

Fix up the injured crew. Perform surgery. Try not to commit malpractice. Yell at the Medical Technicians for dragging bodies instead of using roller beds. | Hard |

Virologist |
Control viral outbreaks that occur on the ship. Inject monkeys with viruses to create antibodies. 'Accidentally' release the plague. | Hard |

Laboratory Technician |
Make chemicals for the medical staff to use. Make sure the cryocells are set to the correct temperature and using an optimal mix of chemicals. Watch the new medic overdose people on your chemicals. | Medium |

Medical Technician |
Watch the ship's suit sensors. Run to the scene of an injury and stabilize patients. Rush them back to medical on your trusty roller bed. Panic if there's no one to do surgery for you. | Medium |

Be a friendly face for the crew. Let them speak with you in confidence about personal trauma and mental health. Glaze over if you're into listening to character backstory or debating philosophy. | Easy |
