Research is the scientific department aboard the ship. Your job consists of researching new technologies to make the other department's lives easier as well as the containment and research of anomalous objects that Exploration finds on their expeditions.

(image pending) Chief Science Officer	Oversee the Science department. Make sure R&D gets done. Do some yourself and fiddle with anomalies in the Polyp. Serve as an advisor to Command regarding scientific matters. Make sure the pathfinder is leading away missions. Yell at explorers for touching anomalies on away missions.	Hard
(image pending) Senior Researcher	Handle the day to day activities of research. Make sure R&D is done in a timely fashion. Upgrade department machines. Coordinate your scientists in containment of anomalies that appear aboard the ship. Test your groundbreaking research on the interns.	Medium
(image pending) Scientist	Research whatever may be your specialty. Do research in the R&D lab. Make chemicals in the Miscellaneous Lab. Test weapons and bombs on monkeys. Run human trials on your interns.	Easy
(image pending) Research Assistant	Do whatever the scientists need from you. Learn how the research matrix works. Be an unwitting guinea pig in an experiment. Get turned into a zombie and go berserk.	Easy
